Empowering your grant strategy for greater impact

Writing successful grant proposals can be time-consuming and challenging, taking valuable time away from the meaningful work you do.  By allowing us to take care of the details, you can focus on your mission.

About Us

We are freelance grant and organizational development consultants based in Colorado and Illinois that work remotely to elevate the mission impact of nonprofits throughout the United States through contract-based projects.

Together, we have increased nonprofit organizations' capacity through fundraising and operational support. We have written awarded grant proposals totaling over $9 million, including local and national private foundations and local, state, and federal government grants supporting regional and statewide direct services (case management, trauma therapy, healthcare advocacy), statewide coalition work and general operating support. We developed a comprehensive grant program that increased annual revenues from $300,000 to $2 million.

Throughout our projects, we have been responsible for developing robust policies and procedures that grant funders require. We project-managed financial and programmatic reporting, collaborating with internal and external finance teams and program leads to ensure quality and timely reporting was submitted. This experience has allowed us to gain a reputation for being responsive, authentic, and transparent.

In addition to our robust experience in fundraising and organizational development, we both come from clinical backgrounds:

Jason has a master's in professional counseling and ten years of clinical experience working with children and adults with severe and persistent mental health diagnoses, first as a case worker and then as a therapist. This experience has given him a unique ability to translate clinical needs and outcomes into grantor language. It has also allowed for efficient program and outcome planning, developing programs that connect with universal priority areas. During his clinical experience, he liaised between the clinicians and a third-party database company to develop, build out, and support the case management system.

Coupled with grant and development work, Mikayla has a master's in social work and experience working with and advocating for survivors of trauma. This work has allowed her to effectively write for and develop projects and proposals that translate to best practice for program participants. Additionally, Mikayla comes from a healthcare marketing and communications background, and uses her experience to help nonprofits match their messaging with their mission.
